As a relatively small family business with limited resources of
professionally trained staff we rely heavily on QBIC for assistance with
Industrial Relations issues such as award conditions and interpretation.
Not only do we now have access to changes of legislation as they evolve, we
have established a valuable network of fellow operators and suppliers. As a
member of QBIC I take great pride in having input into concerns such as the
current driver shortage, difficulties with driver authorisations & transport
inspections, government contract conditions and alike. QBIC, representing a
large number of Qld bus operators provides the forum to establish workable

There has, to me, been a broad variety of benefits in being a member of
QBIC. In particular, I have been able to get assistance in the
preparation of our Incident Management Plan, advice on interpretation of
Regulations, and clarification about various parts of relevant Acts that
I need to understand. And the IR Assistance Program has been a valuable
resource. I regularly refer to the QBIC Website for updates and new
information and the access it provides to associated companies and
organisations saves a lot of time. The contacts established and
maintained through this organisation to Queensland Transport, other
Transport Operators, and especially associated Industry Businesses and
